A born business woman with a passion for planning, Alexa founded Alexa Kritis Events in 2015, already with eight years of diverse industry experience under her (always chic) belt.

Alexa’s first experience in the wedding industry began when she spent her senior year of high school working in a bridal salon on Long Island. She was hooked. Throughout college, she assisted a wedding planner in the planning and production of events from Manhattan to Montauk.
2004-2007
After earning her BBA in Management & Event Planning from LIM College in New York City, she eventually accepted a position as the wedding coordinator at the Eau Palm Beach (a former Ritz Carlton property)—which required she make the exciting move from the Big Apple to the Sunshine State. With the vast experience gained from being on the venue and catering side of events, she then felt confident that she could plan and design events on her own. And so she did.
2011-2014
Alexa founded AK Events with one simple vision: that every couple deserves to have a planning experience specifically tailored to their personality, preferences, and unique vision for their dream day.

With extensive knowledge in her field, Alexa is a Certified Professional of Catering and Events, and a notary in Florida, so if (heaven forbid) your officiant doesn’t show up, she’s got you covered.

Alexa is a brilliant and devoted wedding planner. My now husband and I moved to Tampa shortly after getting engaged and did not know anyone. A few minutes into my wedding planner search.
